??WAZZAWALL??is the art collaboration carried out by digmeout and NIKE .
And the second artist chosen for this project is Kenta Kakikawa.
HIs solo exhibition is coming upsoon! Please enjoy his world of complex icons and of the animals interwind together.

KENTA KAKIKAWA>> Born in Fukuoka in 1981. Currently working as an illustrator/ pen artists in Fukuoka. Started creating original artwork since 2005. He often uses animals, plants, machines and buildings as his subjects/ motives of artwork. –This mixture of inorganic matter and organic matter create something new. As he does not use many colours, it gives the viewer to imagine lest of colours.

Japan Organ Transplant Network presents "ANGELS"

This exhibition suggests you think about organ transplant through art.
Three artists from different generations present their original
paintings of "angels" with the themes of "life" and "bond."

Participating Artists (left to right)

Makiko Kishino>> Born in 1986. Currently living in Tokyo. Passed FM802
art audition in 2007. She depicts dramatic life of young people by
fine pen line. Her representative work is a book cover illustration
for Hideo Furukawa's "Haru Haru Haru". She is holding an exhibition in
Kanazawa for the NISSAN WINGROAD x digmeout JAPAN TOUR.

Cicci>> Her painting is based on printings. She was awarded the
graphic prize of EST new generation exhibition. Also taking a part of
an art event, GEISAI 02, she received both Illustration magazine award
and recruitment award from Yoshimoto Kogyo. In 2003, they did poster
for FM802 as well as visuals for BIG STEP in America-mura in Osaka.
Got featured in digmeout 04. in 2004, they did album cover designs for
"Noraonna" who's releasing an album from lyricist, Matsumoto Takashi's
label. She also works as an art unit "Cicci&Sulley".

Taiji Takayama>> Born in 1968 he graduated from the Osaka University
of Arts. He worked for graphic designers, Seitaro Kuroda and Keisuke
Nagatomo??, office K2, and later became a freelance artist. Featured
in digmeout02, 2002, his cutout graphics works are of ??ock????oll??br /> motives are filled with love and hate towards American culture. They
are outstanding with perfect composition and completion. His current
projects are a t-shirt brand "CUTOUT" and an animation project with
NHK-Satelite.

[Kazuma Mikami’s Profile]
Born in Tokyo, 1982. Studying at Kuwasawa Design School in Tokyo, Kazuma published art books. After graduation, he has gained experience as an illustrator through designing event advertisements, wall paintings in the stores of well-known apparel brands, etc. He is influenced by overseas subculture and creates artworks using coffee and watercolor. He periodically published zines too.

“wazzawall” is the collaboration project of NIKEiD and digmeout.
The third anniversary of Nike Osaka store is coming soon! In this project, young artists will paint the 9-meter-long wall in the store.

The first artist is Ryohei Yamashita! His wall painting will appear on Fri, Sep. 5 in Nike Osaka store, and his first solo exhibition is held at digmeout ART&DINER in memory of the start of “wazzawall” project.

[Ryohei Yamashita’s Profile]
Born in Fukuoka, Japan, 1973. Graduated from Kyushu Institute of Design (Present school name: Kyushu University Faculty of Design). After pursuing street art in Fukuoka, he moved to Yokohama and became an illustrator. In 2008, he passed “digmeout AUDITION EVERYDAY.” Now, he is working as an artist and pursuing his artistic style. His artworks are full of motion, life, and energy.

She was born in 1984, Yokohama, Japan, and graduated from SUGINO GAKUEN Dressmaker Gakuin (special school of dress design in Tokyo).

She often travels alone to find material for illustrations.
(Examples of destination: Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, USA, Mexico)

Her artist name “Boojil” comes from the sound of Japanese phrase “Busaiku wo Ijiru.”
It expresses that her artworks are not pretty or decorative, but she’s creating with happiness and joy.
Her illustrations are so colorful and fun to see, so please visit the exhibit :D

2004 --- Started to do artistic activities by the name of Boojil. Illustrations for fashion magazines, etc.
2008 Aug. --- Illustration for Japanese musical group “Soma” (CD jacket & music video)
