Born in 1981, currently living in Kyoto. ZAnPon started drawing in January, 2004. ZAnPon’s artwork is full of lines freely running around dramatically shown by the tiny creatures spread all over the picture plain. These elements whirl around and comprise the human figures and monsters. ZAnPon’s pop art allows audiences to find new elements everytime they see his drawings. In 2005, ZAnPon was featured in the art book “digmeout 05.” During the exhibition at the “COMPOUND GALLERY” in Portland, OR, U.S.A., ZAnPon’s works were greatly praised and purchased by Mark Parker, CEO of NIKE Inc., and John C. Jay, the creative director of Widen+Kennedy. This exhibition was reported by Fuji TV, and this spread ZAnPon’s name and his artwork all over Japan.
